Cappu Films secures worldwide sales rights for Tribeca film Ephemera

Hong Kong-based Cappu Films has acquired worldwide sales rights for the queer romance Ephemera following its world premiere in the U.S. narrative competition at this year's Tribeca Film Festival.

Filmmaker Shan Jiang discusses the project

Director and writer Shan Jiang produced the film alongside Yinx Zhou and Sol Ye. The story follows two young women whose lives diverge before they meet in Shanghai. One character prepares to move from Shanghai to Los Angeles while an invitation leads to a night of exploring the city.

Company plans Busan market push

Cappu Films is currently shopping the title at the Asian Contents & Film Market during the Busan International Film Festival. Janice Woo of Cappu stated the company looks forward to introducing the film to buyers in Busan. The firm holds distribution conversations with attendees at the market and will confirm rights for each territory individually.
