Bradley Cooper to Star in New G.I. Joe Movie for Paramount

Bradley Cooper has signed a role as Duke in a new untitled G.I. Joe feature being developed by Paramount Pictures.

Danny McBride Directs and Writes

Danny McBride is directing the project and co-wrote the script with Jeff Fradley and John Carcieri. The actor, known for creating HBO's The Righteous Gemstones, will also produce the film alongside Paramount.

Cooper Plays Nominal Leader Duke

Bradley Cooper will portray Duke, who serves as the nominal leader of the Joes. This character was previously played by Channing Tatum in live-action movies released in 2009 and 2013.

Studio Prioritizes Major IP Brands

Paramount has made this feature a priority under new owner David Ellison. The studio is currently ramping up development of major intellectual properties like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Star Trek.
