Bill Skarsgard says he feels spent playing villains but remains open to a Bond role
Actor Bill Skarsgard told the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he feels spent playing villains yet would still accept a one-off James Bond villain part.

Skarsgard limits future villain roles
The 36-year-old actor explained on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast that he is becoming more selective about dark characters. He stated that any new villain role must feel original and different from his previous work in films like It and Nosferatu. Skarsgard noted he has already played Pennywise, Count Orlok, Eric Draven, and Marquis Vincent Bisset de Gramont.
Interest in a Bond villain part
During the interview, Horowitz mentioned Skarsgard's long-standing interest in joining the James Bond franchise as a villain. The actor joked that producers might have excluded him because they could not cast a Swede for the role. He cited Mads Mikkelsen and Javier Bardem as examples of actors who played villains in the series without leading it.
Search continues for next 007
Skarsgard declined to commit to a decade-long run in the franchise, preferring a single appearance instead. His comments arrive as studios continue searching for an actor to play James Bond in Denis Villeneuve's upcoming film. The Hollywood Reporter previously reported that Callum Turn was considered for the part.
