Director returns after family break

Darmawan had not directed for over a decade while raising her children. She now presents a story about four women spanning three generations of a Chinese-Indonesian household. The production marks her return to the industry following this long absence.

Plot centers on family conflict

The narrative follows a 13-year-old girl who witnesses an argument between her sister and mother. This fight causes the older sister to leave home while the younger one stays behind. The single mother works as an accountant and sells fruit hampers to support the family.

Film opens in Jakarta cinemas

Palari Films will release the movie in Indonesian theaters on December 10. Darmawan co-wrote the screenplay with Cyntha Hariadi for this project. The cast includes Chempa Puteri, Sigi Wimala, Tutie Kirana and Hyori Mika.
