Ariana Madix will star and executive produce a new science fiction series titled Future Housewives that is in development at the streaming service Peacock.

Brandon Braga writes the show after previously working on several Star Trek films and television series. He also co-created Enterprise and worked on Voyager and The Next Generation. Seth MacFarlane executive produces the project through his Fuzzy Door banner alongside Erica Huggins.
Show satirizes reality television tropes
The plot takes place in an asteroid colony called New Beverly Hills where wealthy socialites face bioengineered beauty regimens and interplanetary scandals. A young outsider arrives to expose how far the group has drifted from reality. The series blends science fiction elements with the world that made Madix famous on Bravo.
Madix moves from reality TV
The actress spent over a decade appearing on Vanderpump Rules before hosting Love Island USA. She previously performed in Broadway productions including Chicago and Just in Time. Universal Global Television serves as the studio for this new drama.
