Andrew Garfield set to receive Maltin Modern Master Award at Santa Barbara International Film Festival
Andrew Garfield will receive the Maltin Modern Master Award at the 42nd Santa Barbara International Film Festival running from February 3 to 13, 2027.
Film critic Leonard Maltin presents award
Leonard Maltin will present the honour to Garfield during the festival. The award was renamed in tribute to the film critic in 1995. Past recipients include Denzel Washington and Christopher Nolan.
Garfield balances mainstream and independent work
Maltin noted that balancing a career between Hollywood movies and director-driven projects is difficult. Garfield has managed to do both well according to the critic. The actor has already received two Academy nods in his career.
