Amanda Seyfried declined a TV role requiring frequent sex scenes at the Hamptons International Film Festival
Actress Amanda Seyfried explained she turned down a television series at the Hamptons International Film Festival because she is uncomfortable performing repeated sex scenes.

Reason for turning down role
Seyfried told People magazine during a conversation with Alec Baldwin that she does not want to be naked with a stranger. She stated she is not into having sex all the time regardless of who the partner is. The actress noted her feelings might change if the project came along again at a later point in her life.
Shift from past comfort
The Oscar nominee described how acting used to feel fun and like a non-thing when she was younger. She admitted that being an actor gets weirder as she ages because they must be romantic with people they are not romantically inclined toward. Seyfried previously accepted uncomfortable situations at age 19 just to keep her job but now refuses to be a pushover.
Influence of motherhood
Seyfried referenced her two children as a motivating factor for setting firmer boundaries on set. She shared an incident where she told a stranger not to take pictures in front of her daughter Nina. Her daughter expressed pride in her mother for saying no to the request.
