AFI Fest 2026 adds Peter Farrelly and Brad Bird films to schedule
The American Film Institute has announced additional titles for its 2026 festival in Los Angeles.
New red carpet premieres revealed
Peter Farrelly's I Play Rocky starring Anthony Ippolito joins the red carpet section. Netflix's animated film Ray Gunn from Brad Bird also features Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell. Martin McDonagh's Wild Horse Nine with John Malkovich is set for special screenings.
Documentaries and international entries included
Ava DuVernay's documentary 14th will screen alongside Diego Luna's Ashes. Tony Gilroy's Behemoth! starring Pedro Pascal and Pedro Almodóvar's Bitter Christmas are also confirmed. The lineup includes Florian Zeller's Bunker with Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz.
More films join the festival roster
Additional titles such as Clarissa, Elsinore, Josephine, The Man I Love, Mouse, and Tangles are part of the announcement. These selections expand the event's schedule for the upcoming fall festival in Los Angeles.
