Funding structure and timeline

The total project cost is estimated at $650 million, with the provincial government contributing $450 million. The World Bank financing includes a $100 million credit and another $100 million loan from the International Development Association. This funding will cover revenue mobilisation and fiscal management for the province over six years.

Targeted service improvements

Reforms aim to improve public services in health and education sectors across the region. The programme targets an increase in own-source tax revenue from Rs64 billion to Rs122 billion by June 2031. Technical assistance will support these efforts in merged districts and former Provincially Administered Tribal Areas.

Beneficiaries of the plan

Approximately 41 million residents are expected to benefit from better-resourced public services under this initiative. Direct recipients include those accessing improved healthcare facilities and educational institutions within the province.
