Sazgar Engineering Works Limited intends to launch its new Cannon Alpha vehicle in Pakistan within the coming months.
New electric vehicle lineup details
The company showcased a broader range of new energy vehicles at the Pakistan Auto Show held last week. Management indicated that future product launches will increasingly focus on plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. The firm also plans to introduce ARCFOX EVs, which combine premium design with advanced technology from partners like Magna and Huawei.
Pricing strategy and tax concerns
Management stated the Cannon Alpha will be introduced at a competitive price point. The company is currently absorbing an increase in GST while waiting for a favourable auto policy announcement. Officials noted they do not want to hurt customers purchasing vehicles today with higher taxes.
Dealer network expansion plans
Sazgar currently operates 32 dealerships and expects another five or six to become operational soon. This expansion makes the company the largest network among new entrants in the local market.
