Pakistan Stock Exchange investor base hits record high in October
The Pakistan Stock Exchange reached a record total of 681,965 investors in October 2026 according to data from the Finance Ministry.
Record monthly growth reported
A total of 25,747 new accounts were opened during the month. This figure represents the highest monthly addition on record for the exchange. The increase was approximately 56 percent compared to the same period last year.
Young investors drive expansion
About 85 percent of these new participants belong to Gen Z and Millennial generations. In the first ten months of the year, the exchange added 218,894 net new investors overall.
Long term trend continues
The total number of investors surpassed 600,000 in August before reaching this new peak. Officials note that recent additions match the growth seen over nearly five years combined.
