Pakistan mobile phone imports drop 8.85 percent in July-August
The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics reported that mobile phone imports fell 8.85 percent to $274.129 million during July and August of the current fiscal year.

Handset import values decline
Imports in rupee terms decreased 10.53 percent to Rs76.267 billion compared to the same period last year. The annual drop for August alone reached 13.82 percent, while the monthly figure for August was 4.80 percent lower than July.
Telecom equipment imports rise
Imports of telecom infrastructure grew 8.95 percent to $432.044 million during the two-month period. This increase reflects continued investment in network expansion and preparations for next-generation mobile services.
August equipment import dip
Telecom equipment imports fell 3.42 percent year-over-year in August to $197.269 million. The monthly decline was also 15.98 percent lower than the July figure of $234.775 million.
