The integration follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Pakistan Customs and the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department on May 18, 2026. This agreement formalized Pakistan Customs participation in the ValidAP system developed by the Hong Kong department.
Document verification uses cryptographic technology
Electronic trade documents issued through PSW can now be independently verified for authenticity and integrity using cryptographic technology. The process creates a unique digital fingerprint without transmitting or storing sensitive information on the verification platform.
Pakistan leads regional trust approach
Pakistan is the first country to join this specific blockchain-based digital document verification platform. This marks the first implementation of ValidAP-based verification for Pakistan's digital trade infrastructure.
