Pakistan inflation rises to 11.53 percent in week ending October 1
The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics released data on Friday showing weekly inflation hit 11.53 percent year on year for the week ending October 1.

The Sensitive Price Index increased by 0.21 percent compared to the previous week. Prices for chicken rose by 7.25 percent while diesel fell by 3.43 percent during this period. Of the 51 items tracked, 20 saw price increases and 10 experienced reductions.

On a year-on-year basis, onion prices climbed 114.20 percent and LPG costs jumped 66.59 percent. Electricity charges for the first quarter also rose by 58.59 percent over the same time last year. These annual figures contributed to the overall inflation rate reaching 11.53 percent.
