Pakistan GDP growth revised to 3.65 percent for fiscal year 2026
The National Accounts Committee in Islamabad revised Pakistan's fiscal year 2026 gross domestic product growth rate to 3.65 percent on Monday.

Agriculture and industry performance updates
Updated figures show agriculture grew at 3.50 percent while the industrial sector expanded by 3.34 percent. The services industry recorded a growth rate of 3.81 percent during this fiscal year. These revised rates differ from earlier estimates which projected higher expansion across all three sectors.
Sector specific production changes
Wheat and maize production drove agricultural gains, while livestock output decreased slightly due to increased fodder inputs. Mining and quarrying improved with growth in gas, crude oil, and coal extraction activities. Large-scale manufacturing declined from 6.11 percent to 5.01 percent according to the latest data.
Economic size and targets
The total economy reached a value of $450 billion by the end of the fiscal year. This outcome indicates that the country fell short of its initial target of 3.70 percent growth. The revision aligns closely with projections made by international lenders like the International Monetary Fund.
