Platform role and priorities

The minister stated that the initiative provides a space for developing nations to coordinate on sovereign debt issues. He emphasized mutual learning and technical cooperation rather than collective bargaining or crisis management. Pakistan plans to strengthen debt-management practices and explore new development-financing instruments under its work plan.

Meetings with international officials

Aurangzeb held discussions with IMF and ESCAP representatives regarding economic reforms and macroeconomic stability. He met Dan Katz, First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, to review progress on structural reforms. The talks also covered climate resilience and Pakistan's commitment to fiscal discipline.
