Apple iPhone Duo sales begin Friday with limited supply and high demand
Apple started selling its first folding phone, the iPhone Duo, on Friday in stores around the world.

Strong initial customer response
The US company described the reaction from buyers as nothing short of extraordinary. Pre-orders opened last Friday and delivery dates quickly slipped to late January because demand outpaced supply.
Strict purchase limits apply
Apple capped pre-orders at two handsets per customer and restricted walk-in sales significantly. In China, France, Hong Kong, India and Japan, units were available only for customers who had ordered online.
Sydney store opening scene
A queue formed outside the first Apple store in Sydney before it opened at 8am local time. Simon Krishnan paid A$3,899 for a model with 512GB memory and called the device a luxury item.
